The sci.physics.particle newsgroup provides a common forum to discuss
all aspects of particle physics, theories and experiments.

Topics of discussions are, but not limited to:
- Pre Standard Model
- Standard Model
- Beyond Standard Model
 
RATIONALE

Particle physics is a very active region of physics, theoretically
as well as experimentally. However, there is no general forum to
discuss this field.  Sci.physics is a too general forum while sci.
physics.accelerators is mainly discussing particle accelerators and
the physics of beams. Some laboratories in the world do have their
own newsgroups but are not generally carried by many sites.
